Kansas City Chiefs partner with Hallmark to make Christmas movie

The Kansas City Chiefs are bringing together everything football and Hallmark movies are meant to bring to the holidays.

The NFL team has partnered with Hallmark to create an original holiday movie centered on its two consecutive Super Bowl champions.

The name of the movie is “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story“, begins production next month, with all filming taking place in Kansas City, Missouri. Fans will see scenes at Arrowhead Stadium’s GEHA Field, marking the first time a movie has been shot at the venue.

“This partnership unites two passionate fan bases and gives us the opportunity to showcase the energy and tradition of Chiefs Kingdom on one of the most-watched channels during the holiday season,” Chiefs president Mark Donovan said in a statement. News release,

To honor the project between the two Kansas City-based organizations, the city illuminated its downtown skyline in purple and red on Wednesday night, the news release said.

Who Will Be In ‘Holiday Touchdown’?

While no Chiefs players have been announced to appear in the film, the team has revealed three of its key players.

The sports-based romantic comedy stars “Shifting Gears” actor Tyler Hynes, “Two Scoops of Italy” actor Hunter King and “Better Call Saul” actor Ed Begley Jr.
