Pop sensation Madonna is facing legal action from a man who attended a concert during her Celebration World Tour who alleges pornographic content was shown without any warning during her performance.

Justen Lipeles filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles on Wednesday accusing Madonna of “displaying pornography without warning” during her concert at the city’s Kia Forum venue on March 7. The lawsuit names Madonna and concert promoter Live Nation as defendants.

He claimed he was “forced to watch topless women perform sex acts on stage”, without any prior notice, reports The Guardian. Mr Lipeles, who bought four tickets worth $500 (roughly Rs. 41,718), also claimed that the concert, which was supposed to start at 8:30pm, actually began at 10pm without any prior notice.

He claimed that the temperature inside the venue, Kia Forum, was “uncomfortably hot” because Madonna reportedly “refused to turn on the air conditioning”.

Mr Lipeles claimed he “started sweating a lot” and even became “physically sick” because of the heat. When other fans complained about the uncomfortable conditions, Madonna “told them to take off their clothes”, which Mr Lipeles described as “inappropriate”.

Justen Lipeles’ lawsuit further alleges that during much of the performance, it was obvious that Madonna was lip-syncing, which went against expectations of a live concert experience.

The suit raises a number of legal grounds, including breach of contract, negligent misrepresentation, unfair competition, false advertising and infliction of emotional distress. It says Madonna’s actions, particularly her alleged instruction to fans to disrobe and presenting explicit material without warning, were “intentional, extreme and outrageous” and caused Mr. Lippeles and other attendees to suffer emotional distress.

Justen Lippeles is now seeking damages, as well as money for his legal costs and a refund for his concert tickets.
