Colorado Republican Lauren Boebert immediately began asking whether Cheatle had apologized to President Trump after the shooting in Butler.

“Yes, I did,” Cheatle replied.

The tense conversation also saw Boebert spin off various conspiracy theories, including whether Cheatle contacted the White House via an encrypted device or messaging app — an allegation Cheatle has denied.

They also addressed many of the questions we’ve heard over and over again, including whether there was a refusal to turn over property and whether any contact was made with the shooter before the shooting began.

Boebert has asked if there was a “man in a gray suit” at the rally, and it appears he was an ATF agent — a theory that has also surfaced on social media.

Cheatle responded, “I don’t have that information.”

Additionally, Boebert asked whether a Secret Service counter-sniper was ordered not to fire after Crooks fired at Trump.

“I can tell you how our personnel are trained,” Cheatle replies. “When they see a threat, they have the authority to neutralize that threat. They don’t have to ask permission.”

Boebert said she is saddened to know that the country is “centimetres away from oblivion” but still has no answers.

“This is all a waste of time,” she says. “You should be fired….I can’t stand your supervision any longer.”
