Richard Simmons was refused medical attention after collapse

As we reported, Richard collapsed in the bathroom at his home on Friday evening … and according to law enforcement sources, when his maid came to wake him up, she urged Richard to seek medical help that night.

We’re told Richard had complained of dizziness before the fall, but he declined the housekeeper’s suggestion about seeing a doctor … telling her he could maybe go on Saturday, but he didn’t want to go that night because it was his 76th birthday. So, she helped him back into bed, and that was it.

At around 10 a.m. on Saturday, the homeowner found Richard lying unconscious on the floor near his bed.

Another source told us that Richard did not show any obvious or outward signs of injury after his fall – such as bumps, bruises or bleeding. It’s unclear if whatever caused his dizziness or fall was directly related to his death.

Richard pronounced dead There were no suspects at the scene, and police said there were no signs of foul play.
